About the Consultant Level role:
As Environmental Planner/Consultant, your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparing/coordinating impact assessments and reviewing technical studies/design drawings;
  • Contributing to the management of key principles of projects including commercial aspects, resources, and timelines;
  • Supporting integrated approvals processes (federal, state, and local) for major infrastructure (inc. but not limited to; a road, rail) developments;
  • Undertaking on-going professional development to improve technical capability and maintain a market-leading status for the company; and
  • Providing support to the Team Leader to achieve sector goals and championing a quality, innovative, and team-focused.

About you Consultant Level role:
To be considered you need to have:

  • demonstrated relevant impact assessment experience;
  • Relevant degree qualifications in either Environmental Science, Planning or Engineering;
  • Experience in infrastructure-related approvals is beneficial;
  • A reputation for delivering high-quality work and building excellent team morale and client relationships; and
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, mentoring, and teaming skills.
  • Managing and preparing impact assessments and reviewing technical studies/design drawings;
  • Supporting integrated approvals processes (federal, state, and local) for major infrastructure (including but not limited to; a road, rail) developments.
  • Taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback, and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications;
  • Identifying opportunities for client development and preparation of proposals;
  • Working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other service lines;
  • Undertaking on-going professional development to improve technical capability and maintain a market-leading status
  • Providing support to the Team Leader to achieve sector goals and championing a quality, innovative, and team-focused.

The skills you will have to be successful, in a senior role:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental Management
  • Min 3 -5 years experience as an Environmental Engineer/Environmental Advisor or Consultant working on major infrastructure projects
  • Ideally experience of working for a Tier 1 or 2 consultancy or contractor
  • Commitment to building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Can demonstrate initiative to solve problems and assist the project team to deliver client outcomes.
