Project Manager’s Role:
We are looking for a Project Managers / Civil Engineer in Roads/Transport Infrastructure with experience in one or more project stages, spanning enabling and site preparation through to site coordination and delivery.
You will take responsibility for the management of project teams, engagement with internal and external stakeholders, and management of time and cost constraints, as you shape and maintain a large-scale project with optimum efficiency.
You will work in a consultancy-based environment amongst a multidisciplinary team, delivering solutions for a top-tier client in the transport infrastructure space.

Project Manager’s Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
– Client-side project delivery responsibility, and management across a significant program of works Client and stakeholder management and consultation – attending and leading project team meetings and liaising with all relevant personnel
– Oversight of site resources, sub-contractors, suppliers, service authorities and other stakeholders to ensure relevant scopes of work in accordance with requirements of the package of works
– High degree of collaboration – working in a multidisciplinary team environment with other consultancies, contractors and the client
– Identification and management of construction risks; escalation of issues where required
– Consistent project reporting for package of works; management of program, time, and costs of the project.

Qualifications & Competencies:
To be successful, you will draw on your proven industry experience and familiarity with projects of a similar scale, as well as using your management, leadership, and problem-solving skills to ensure optimum results across the project’s delivery.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for efficiency, a knack for solving problems, and great people acumen who can lead a team and influence at all levels. You will need to be astute in negotiation and stakeholder management, with proven capability to build great relationships with stakeholders whilst remaining solutions focused.

You will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (engineering, project management or similar) or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in project management or senior project management roles
  • Experience in civil infrastructure, particularly in the delivery of road/transport projects
  • Ideally, experience working for a client-side firm, or major tier 1 contractor
  • Experience managing project teams and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience delivering and managing large-scale projects
  • Experience in managing stakeholders, liaising with clients and other project stakeholders, and influencing at all levels
  • Experience managing a project and keeping to all time, cost, and scope restraints
  • Superlative problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Significant experience in one or both of:

  1. a) development and delivery of enabling works
  2. b) strong design management, contract management and program management.
